Housing Works Bookstore Cafe
126 Crosby Street
New York University invites children aged 6 - 13 to a free immersive arts workshop hosted by the Free Art Society at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe. During the workshop, children will view an exhibition of paintings and stories from young people around the world, and afterwards they will participate in a hands-on activity in which they will create their own paintings.
All the art presented and created in the workshop will contribute to the global Hearts of the World Project, which empowers young people to discover their passion and unique purpose through painting workshops. The Free Art Society, an East Village-based international arts organization that explores community and art in public spaces, regularly hosts Hearts of the World workshops.
Light refreshments will be provided. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free and open to the public and an RSVP is required. To RSVP, click here.
