15th Annual Eagle Rock Music Festival Tonight!
On Saturday, October 5th, 2013, Los Angeles Councilmember Jose Huizar and Center for the Arts Eagle Rock proudly present the 15th Annual Eagle Rock Music Festival. ERMF celebrates the diverse community of Northeast Los Angeles by transforming local businesses into music venues, bringing innovative and recognized bands, producers, and DJs to Colorado Boulevard from 4 – 10pm.
Your $10 suggested donation supports the arts in our community. Donate $10 or more prior to the Festival through CFAER.org, and you will receive a digital download of the 15th Annual ERMF Mixtape as well as the opportunity to use the fast-track entrance to the Festival.
Center for the Arts Eagle Rock is celebrating 15 years as an organization, with the Eagle Rock Music Festival as its annual event, a milestone for this community.
ERMF is supported this year by generous sponsors, who include: Macy’s, Burbank Music Academy, Eagle Rock Plaza, Eagle Rock Chamber of Commerce, K-Oxy, Occidental College, Friends of Friends, and DoLA.
Each year, Center for the Arts Eagle Rock experiments with a multitude of genres to create the truly unique experience that is the Eagle Rock Music Festival.
The Main Stage, as the heart of the festival, will bring vibrant performances by internationally renowned artists, including Bosnian Rainbows, Kingdom b2b Nguzunguzu, Dub Club, Young Adults, Boardwalk, Skin Town and Little Red Lung.
The Family Stage, located at Eagle Rock City Hall, will feature family-friendly programming and exclusive previews of upcoming CFAER arts workshops. Musical performances will include Bonne Musique Zydeco, NINE, toddler rock band Ellen and Matt, as well as a special performance by Bob Baker Marionettes. Children’s activities, as well as interactive and innovative performances and play structures by CFAER’s teaching faculty, will provide a festival oasis for the whole family.
The Experimental Stage, located inside the LA Philipino American Church, will feature artists String Theory, Team Supreme, Carmen Rizzo, and Indian orchestra Arohi. Museum of Traffic (LACMA) will create a multimedia installation using video-mapping technology to inspire audiences with atmospheric visuals.
A dedicated participant and venue since the inception of the festival 15 years ago, RANTZ Automotive Stage will keep you dancing with Sub-Tropical and Global Bass beats. Artists will include Subsuelo, Conjunto Nueva Ola, cumbia act Quitapenas, the Eagle Rock High School Latin Band, and Tijuana-based Ibi Ego.
The Americana Stage, located in the historical Women’s 20th Century Club, will be full of wholesome fun. Headlining the stage will be Triple Chicken Foot, who will have everyone swinging their partner with their signature Square Dance Party. Other acts included are Jessica Fichot, Big Search and The Tennessee Walker.
Colombo’s Italian Restaurant will help ring in the 15th anniversary of ERMF with a steady line-up of blues, jazz, rock, and oldies. With both outdoor and indoor stages, Colombo’s is the perfect place to listen in on soulful acts like JR Black, who perform Johnny Cash covers in French, and local favorites, Restless Blues Band, in an intimate setting.
The Punk/Metal/Hardrock Stage, at Bateman Water and Heating Engineering, Inc., will highlight local talent, such as Foli, The Chalon Ford Band, Loup Garou MF, Legion Underworld (featuring the town’s rock’n’roll mailman), and a special guest from our IMAC in Tijuana, San Pedro El Cortez.
A free shuttle service from the City of Los Angeles will be located at Eagle Rock Plaza, where free parking will be provided for all festivalgoers. A bike valet will also be available as a free service to the public.
