El Sereno Bicentennial Committee Presents: "Rhythm Jukebox"

Come support the El Sereno Bicentennial Committee as they raise funds towards the El Sereno Fourth of July Parade. They will be having a fundraiser event at Hecho En Mexico, featuring Rhythm Jukebox, one of southern California's favorite live top 40 bands. They will be Performing all your favorite dance songs: Disco, funk, old skool, oldies, rock and latin music. For more information about the fundraiser please call (619) 739-1786.

1st Annual Kids Day Concert Festival


Date:              Saturday, June 15, 2013

Bring your children and the rest of the family to the 1st Annual Kids Day Concert Festival Presented by Tender Loving Covers. 

There will be Live Entertainment featuring Fusion Dance Studio, El Sereno Stallions Cheer, Rhythms of the Village, Live Transmission, Nora Germain & Co, and many more. 

Also come for the craft corner, local food vendors, a jumper, games and prizes, raffles, and FREE health screnings. 

All proceeds from this event go directly in helping fulfill the mission of Tender Loving Covers, which is to make quilts for orphans and homeless children. Help them realize there dream!

Councilmemer Huizar Invites you to El Sereno Skate Park Grand Re-Opening

After hearing concerns from community members, including area youth, that the El Sereno Skate Park was in disrepair and badly in need of a facelift, Councilmember Huizar worked with Recreation and Parks to repair and upgrade the popular Skate Park. Now that school is out, we want our youth to have a great exciting summer, and there is no better way to do that than by coming out to skate. Please join us for this fun celebration!

Tree Adoption Free Event


Date:              Saturday, June 22nd, 2013

Place:            Superior Warehouse Grocers
                       113 W. Avenue 45, Los Angeles

 
Did you know that mature trees can help cut down on energy bills? On top of that, trees clean the air and reduce the greenhouse gases that cause global warming. Assemblymember Jimmy Gomez in partnership with Million Trees Los Angeles invites you to a tree adoption free event. Stop by to receive a FREE tree (fruit trees will be distributed).

Fruit trees will be available private home adoption. Participants adopting tress will be able to take home and plant on private property. To be eligible, you must live or own property within the City of Los Angeles. Verification will be required (ID/Driver's License or copy of DWP unility bill. Supplies are limited and on a first come, first served basis. Limit one adopted tree per property address. For more information, please call (213) 483-5151.

6th Annual El Sereno Concert & Fireworks Show
4th of July Independence Day Parade
  

 


The City of Los Angels Invites you to join Councilmember Jose Huizar in collaboration with the El Sereno Stallions Football & Cheer, and El Sereno Bicentennial Committee to the 6th Annual El Sereno Concert & Fireworks Show, and the 4th of July Independence Day Parade on Saturday, June 29, 2013. Come join us for FREE musical entertainment, Moon Bounce, Fireworks Show, and Community Resource Booths. 

Parade Begins at 2:00pm - Starts at the corner of Huntington Drive and Van Horne and ends at El Sereno Recreation Center. 

Concert Begins at 4:00pm - Fireworks Show begins at dark. Located at El Sereno Recreation Center, 4721 Klamath Street.

El Sereno Recreation Center
Summer Camp 2013


 

Registration:                Starts May 1, 2013
Dates of Camp: 
          June 10 to August 9
Time of Camp:             Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm

El Sereno Recreation Center is proud to announce registration for Summer Camp. This year camp activities will include art, games, sports, hikes, cooking, swimming, crafts, nature walks, field trips, and much more.

Fees:
Registration $20 one-time
Camp $65 weekly
Extended Care $15 weekly (if needed)

Parent Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 29 at 6:30pm.
