See what's happening in Penge this week....

Penge Green Gym

Hello Green Gymers

As always a wonderful weeks work carried out in Winsford Gardens this Wednesday, thanks to all of you for braving the damp autumn weather and helping to transform Winsford Gardens into a wildlife and people friendly park!

The last of the willow fences was re-weaved this week to nicely frame the steps onto the Garden Road lawn, it's nice to see our old friends back in place. The hedgerows and orchard trees received a really good, thick mulch which will help see them through the colder days of winter, suppress the weeds and retain the moisture next spring. Lastly, all those fallen leaves were raked up and stored in the leaf mould storage bins so we'll have a bumper supply of leaf mould by this time next year - good work team!

See you next week in the gardens for more raking, protecting and transforming....
