Mixed Netball Fun!!

A netball event was held on Wednesday 5 June 2013 as part of the Festival of Volunteering.  With the aim of attracting new players and volunteers, a series of matches were played at the Institute of Sport & Exercise, Dundee University.  A sport traditionally played by women, the event even attracted some men to participate and show their skills!!!!

A meeting held before the event discussed the possibility of the set up of a Dundee netball league.  With at least 8 teams interested in participating, let's hope this is the start of big things for netball in Dundee!!

SportDundee AGM

The SportDundee AGM was held on Wednesday 22 May 2013 at City Chambers.

Although there was not a huge turnout, those in attendance enjoyed the fantastic presentations from Steven Maloney and Vikki Bunce.

Steven, the Chairman of Craigie Community Sport Hub, informed the meeting of the fantastic work being done by the hub including the refurbishment of their facility at Huntly Square which now provides first class changing facilities, a players lounge and dance / fitness studio for the members of the hub and the local community.
