Permaculture: Connecting Inner and Outer Landscapes

The word has been used a lot, but what does it actually mean? Permaculture is much more than just a way of growing food. The ethics and principles are equally valid for building a healthy community and a close relationship with your family and friends. It's a complete, fulfilling way of living that brings balance to your life. It's based on old traditions and wisdom. Best of all: it's remarkably simple and it can save you a lot of work.

On the website www.permacultureprinciples.com you can find all details about the three ethics - Fair Share, Earth Care and People Care - plus a description of the 12 principles. Can you see how these can be implemented in the different aspects of your life: work, family, community, your garden, city planning...?
Another blog with some great ideas is Permaculture Ideas. And then there is of course The Permaculture Handbook by Peter Bane, available in the library.
