Saturday was the busiest day of the Festival yet with over 25 events! Local chef Mike Lata took home the Master Blaster trophy in the Waffle House Smackdown. Festival guests enjoyed the many demonstrations, samples and panels in the Culinary Village, incredible views of the Charleston Harbor on the Vineyard Voyage, dueling DJs and dance crews at Festival After Hours, and much, much more!
Pinot Envy Uncorked guests sampled a variety of wines along with food from local chefs and a dish from Gwen Pratesi of BunkyCooks Blog, winner of the Festival's Lambs + Clams Original Recipe Contest, prepared by guest chef Nick Stefanelli of Bibiana in Washington, D.C.
This year's Food + Wine with a View dinner was a tribute to Birmingham chef Frank Stitt featuring dishes by Sean Brock, Mike Lata, Linton Hopkins, Hugh Acheson and Ben and Karen Barker served in a private penthouse with amazing views of the Charleston skyline.
