Our 170 year journey is one of faith and transformation from the humble beginnings of the pioneering Daughters of Charity who established our first Catholic school in San Francisco in 1852, to their partnership with the Christian Brothers educating young men here since 1874.
We are continually blessed by the efforts of our Holy Founders and all the pioneers who came before us. We express our profound gratitude to the Daughters of Charity and the Christian Brothers who have dedicated their lives to serving our students and communities, and who continue to inspire us today.

WASHINGTON, DC
February 19-25, 2023
Come and experience a week in Washington, DC with students from all over the country! All students in the Classes of 2023, 2024, and 2025 are invited. Close-Up is an organization focused on educating high school students on the workings of our government, while engaging them in legislative simulations and policy debates. Along with the educational program with Close-Up, students will visit monuments, museums, and maybe meet with a congressperson or two!
The price of $2,196 includes travel, hotel, and most meals. Registration and payment of the non-refundable $500 deposit is due on October 20. Final payments are due December 8. Financial assistance is available.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
ON CAMPUS!
Join the SHC faculty and staff for Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 1. Individual schedules will be mailed home this week for parents and guardians to visit each of their students’ classrooms. Please wear the name badge enclosed with the schedule, and bring your printed schedule with you. In an abundance of caution, we also recommend that you wear a mask to this event.

33rd ANNUAL WALKATHON
Friday, September 16, 2022
in Golden Gate Park
The SHC Walkathon is an annual student-led fundraiser that builds up to a 10K walk and picnic celebration. Since 1989, over 11,000 students have raised more than $4.75 million!
Student Fundraising
We ask that all students create their own personal fundraising page to ask family and friends for support while tracking their progress. Each student has a goal of raising at least $250. Visit shcp.edu/walkathon for detailed instructions on how to set up a personal fundraising webpage. It’s quick, easy and convenient!
Cash or check donations can be mailed to the school, dropped off at the main office or brought in by your student.
August 29 Early Bird Deadline
& Student Prizes
Fun prizes, including modified dress passes, await students who reach their $250 goal by the Early Bird deadline of Monday, August 29 before 12 pm. Students who surpass their goal will qualify for additional prizes.
