DC Area’s Biggest Restaurant Crawl
Taste the World in Fenton Village 2017
DC Area’s Largest Restaurant Crawl; 7th Year Brings Even More Food
Silver Spring, MD, May 21, 2017 –

Thousands of DC and Maryland foodies will descend upon Silver Spring for the 7th Annual Taste The World in Fenton Village. The free event draws food lovers throughout the area with the promise of food samples at more than 30 different restaurants representing international food from five continents.
Fenton Village Inc., a local non-profit in partnership with Montgomery County, coordinates Taste The World in Fenton Village to promote and highlight local restaurants that show off the diversity of food in the eclectic neighborhood.
Great for families and people of all ages, the restaurant crawl invites attendees to explore Fenton Village. Attendees pick up their free event “passport” at one of three port entries. 32 neighborhood restaurants offer tastes of their standard menus for anywhere from $2-5 from 1 PM to 5 PM. Attendees earn a stamp in their “passport” for every “taste” at a participating restaurant and with three stamps, are entered in a raffle to win prizes announced at 5:30 PM.
“Taste The World in Silver Spring is a great event,” says White Oak resident, Matt Coffman. “My wife and I can bring the kids out, enjoy lots of great food, and explore the neighborhood.”
In its 7th year, Taste The World in Fenton Village expands even more to include additional restaurants and appease the ever-growing crowd. Newcomers to this year’s event include Beatusub, Balagger and Farafina. Several other newcomers join the huge variety of restaurants that have made Taste The World in Fenton Village a hit year after year.
This year’s event will also include the 2017 the much-loved Fenton Street Market as they bring several of their vendors to the event. You will be able to find local and handmade crafts on the service road in front of Pacci’s and the World Building. Just across the street, you can take a tour of the B&O Train Station throughout the day and experience a part of Silver Spring’s history.
