Goodbye Summer

Here's hoping your summer was fun, relaxing, exciting, dramatic, laid back or whatever it was supposed to be. It's different for everyone and it goes by too quickly for many of us.
 
Labor Day Weekend has the same variety of connotations for people: it's bittersweet, it's exciting, it's the end of one season and the beginning of another. Summer's gone. As my friends at the Jewish deli in Park Slope, Brooklyn, used to say, "NEXT!"
 
I was blessed this summer with a non-stop schedule that took me across the United States and around the globe. I was in Malibu, California back at the beginning, and from there I had appearances in Texas, Maryland, Arkansas, Pennsylvania and Georgia. I played comedy clubs starting with Comedy Off Broadway in Lexington, Kentucky and ending a week ago at The Comedy Cabaret in Marlton, New Jersey. In between, I played New York CIty and Poco's Restaurant in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
 
There were outdoor concerts in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a great time in Scottsboro, Alabama at "ROCK THE BLOCK" (which we did!). College gigs in Lubbock, Texas and The College of New Jersey in Trenton. Plus an unforgettable night at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, Illinois.
 
I played the beautiful theater in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada which is always a blast (my 2nd time there!) and I'll never forget working at The Mountain Arts Centre in Prestonsburg, Kentucky and the Fall Creek Falls Inn in Pikeville, Tennessee.

 
Interspersed among those dates were some seven short runs with Disney Cruise Line which took me to Jamaica, St Maarten, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas and a couple of trips to Europe: Croatia, France, Greece, Italy and Spain.
 
I write this with great humility, because it's you folks who follow my calendar, who come to the shows and treat me with more respect and appreciation than I think I deserve. I am grateful to you for your inspirational response at these live appearances. I will never be able to say "THANK YOU" enough.
