We are in Cleveland this week enjoying time with our Baptist Mid-Mission family. We want you to share in the joy of what God has done in the past few days.

We just recently sent an update but God has done so much since we last wrote. We had to write to you again to tell you what He has done over the past week. Ten days ago we saw some pretty insurmountable challenges ahead.

But what a difference a few days can make! God's timing is never faulty. He always accomplishes exactly what He promises to do in His perfect time. He always meets all of our needs at His appointed time.

Below are four specific answers to prayer that God has provided in the past week. Rejoice with us in what God has done.

Support

God has provided our support!! We are now at 100%!! God has provided all the necessary funds for us to go to Peru. We finished deputation with 31 supporting churches and 24 supporting families. We are very glad to have this part of the journey behind us.

Plane Tickets

We have purchased plane tickets for August 6. We will fly from Indianapolis to Newark, NJ, and then on to Lima. We had many hurdles in purchasing the tickets we desired, but God orchestrated through those hurdles to accomplish His purpose. After 3 days of working and waiting He provided us tickets that were even less expensive than we had planned.

Visas

God has provided our visas!! We were able to get religious worker visas as we have prayed. We are headed to the Peruvian Consulate in Chicago on Friday to collect our visas. We continue to pray that God will change the law in the near future.

Housing

Our coworkers found us a furnished apartment that fit our needs and budgetary allowance. This means we have a place of our own from the time we arrive in Lima. As a bonus, the apartment is only 1 block away from where our boys will go to school. We could not have asked for anything better than what God provided.

Four Amazing Answers...More to Come

God delights in answering prayer. We are so thankful for what He has done and encouraged by what He will continue to do as we follow Him. Thank you for praying with us and for us. You are a blessing to us. We could not do what God has called us to do without your financial support and fervent prayers. We mean that sincerely.

Prayer Requests

  • Packing: We have lots of stuff to sell/give away before we leave. We will be working in earnest when we arrive home later this week.
  • Goodbyes: We are saying our final goodbyes to many friends and family members. No doubt there will be many tearful moments in the days to come.
  • Transitions: We have lots to do once we arrive. Joe and Jack begin school August 12. Caleb and Ecko begin language school August 26. We are working on understanding the best way for Isabel to start Kindergarten this Fall. We have many transitions ahead, but we trust God will continue to work all this for His glory and our good. He is always good.
Keep praying! God willing, our next update will come to you directly from Peru!!!

Until all have heard,
