Letter from the Principal

This year's BASH was an absolute blast and everyone looked amazing. If you didn't make it, we hope you'll join us next year. A special thank you to all of the parents who made a donation that night. We are still $18,000 shy of our fund raising goal. If you haven't given yet, please donate to Lincoln this holiday season. Our goal is 100% participation from all our families; no donation is too small (or big)!

Remember, at Lincoln we DO NOT ask you to sell gift wrap or butter braids or coupon books to raise money for our school. Your donation of $250, $500, $1000, $2,500 or more goes directly to supporting our children and their education. You can make a one-time or monthly donation via the Lincoln App or Colorado Gives or just write a check to Lincoln Elementary PTSA and leave it at the front office. All donations are 100% tax deductible; ask if your employer will match your donation.

Katy Downie, along with the other parents who support the Backpack Program worked with Student Council and other Lincoln donors to purchase turkeys for our families in the program.  Lincoln is so fortunate to have people who care about others.  When you see Katy and Shannon, thank them.

This week, Lori Rickert of State Farm is our Partner in Education. Did you play her corn hole game at Fall Fest? Congratulations to Mr. Reno's class who earned the most points at the Fall Fest State Farm corn hole game. Lori presented his class with $150 last week. Lori has been a Lincoln sponsor since 2012 and we hope you will think of her when you shop for insurance.

Toy Drive

Please consider donating a new, unwrapped toy to a child in need. Lincoln will once again be a collection spot for Denver’s Santa Claus Shop, a volunteer-run, nondenominational, nonprofit that shares the spirit of the Holidays with Denver children in need – many of whom might not otherwise have a toy to open at Christmas.

The Santa Claus Shop serves children ages newborn through 11 years old and hopes to help 13,000 children in 2018.

There will be a donation box in the front lobby from Weds., Nov. 28 through Weds., Dec 12.
Thanks for your generosity!

Book Fair 2018

Book fair 2018 was a huge success! Our total sales was $11,978.83, a noticeable jump from previous book fairs. Also there was about $2,000 donation to teachers' wish baskets and "Giving Tree" program. Every year I'm so amazed how generous and kind-hearted our Lincoln community is!!  All the proceeds go to purchasing new books and supplies for our library. Many thanks to all the wonderful, caring Lincoln families, book-loving students, and amazing book fair volunteers! --Ms. Noriyo
