Tech, COVID & Kids - Dr. Shimi Kang
Please join us this Tuesday, 9 March at 7pm for an exciting virtual presentation by Harvard educated doctor, researcher, and author Dr. Shimi Kang. The topic is Tech, Covid & Kids.
Dr. Kang will be discussing current issues (tech addiction, cyber bullying, etc) but also will lead us through how to transition our children from an abundance of tech during Covid to a healthy tech habit post Covid.
Please note: we are hosting this event with 9 other schools. Due to the limited time and possible high volume of parents, we have collected questions from every school in advance of the talk. It will not be a typical Q&A where you can ask questions during the talk.
Dr. Kang has a wonderful book on this topic called The Tech Solution should you like to continue to learn more.
Please go to trafalgarpac.ca/shimi for more information and to join the event. This is a PAC funded event so no tickets are needed. We hope to see you there!

Are you Interested in Joining the PAC Executive?
We are seeking parents to serve on the PAC next year.
This is a rewarding and important role which can help shape your child’s experience at Trafalgar. Next year holds much promise, where we might be able to do things together again as a school community. 🤞🏻
We are particularly keen to involve parents from our primary years (K to Grade 3) and are hoping to include parents who represent all parts of our school community. One aspect of our diversity we’d like to improve is representation from fellow Trafalgar Dads and male caregivers - we welcome any and all involvement.
If you are interested please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
Div 9 Read-a-thon
The Division 9 read-a-thon is in full swing! A read-a-thon is when you ask friends and family to support you, then you read, then they donate money to charity.
During the month of March, you can read every day for 20 minutes a day, or you can keep track of how many minutes you read and earn $1 per hour. It will be fun and you’ll help raise money for charity. For more information, and to download a reading tracker, please visit:
