Weekly update

Final Days of Direct Appeal - we’re so close!

Thank you to all of the families that have donated to the Trafalgar PAC Direct Appeal. We are thrilled to announce that we are at 80% of our goal. We have raised $20,000 to date and are almost there! The deadline has been extended until this coming Friday and we just need a few more families to donate to close the gap.

If your family haven’t donated yet, please could we ask you to donate in the next few days? We would love to hit our target so that we roll out our plans for the year as well as come up with some fun and engaging activities for all students. - click here to donate now

We very much appreciate your support, whatever amount your family is able to donate.

Please remember to reply to the MunchaLunch Hot Lunch Refund request email you should have received this week so we can start processing those cheques. Special thanks to the families who have offered to donate their funds to the PAC, your generosity is very much appreciated.

Lastly, please note that we have decided to hold our next PAC meeting on Tuesday, 17 November. The second Tuesday in November would be the night before the Remembrance Day holiday so we will meet the following Tuesday, the 17th.

Daily health check reminder

Just a reminder that all parents are asked to check in on the health of their kids before school every single day. It’s easy to forget to do this, but so important to catch symptoms before they can spread.

Click here to read the guidance on what to do if your child has any symptoms of any kind and you’re not sure what the next steps are (scroll down to Daily Health Check).

Here is a list of symptoms to be checking for every morning, and here is the daily health check reminder sheet with further detail if any of these symptoms appear.

  • Fever

  • Chills

  • Cough or worsening or chronic cough

  • Shortness of breath

  • Loss of sense or smell or taste

  • Diarrhoea

  • Nausea and vomiting

  • Also:

    • International Travel - any travel outside Canada in the last 14 days

    • Confirmed contact - is the student a confirmed contact of a person confirmed to have COVID-19?

Halloween is Coming!

This year Halloween will look a bit different but thanks to Grades 6 and 7, students will enjoy Halloween at our school. M. Lefebvre’s class is going to set up and decorate the activity room and Mr. Kabele’s class will do the takedown as a leadership opportunity. Big Thank You!

On Friday, 30th October, each division will experience a bit of a Halloween atmosphere by spending some spooky time and taking a class photo in the decorated activity room together with their teacher. As safety protocol is the school's number one priority, there is a time slot schedule prepared for all divisions.

All students are welcome to come to school dressed in Halloween costumes.

Upcoming Dates

  • Wed 11 Nov - Remembrance Day - no school
