This week, we have reached a significant milestone: one million people who live in Santa Clara County have now received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
We are also happy to announce that thousands of additional vaccine appointments across multiple sites are available this week. All individuals age 16 and older who live, work, or attend school in Santa Clara County are eligible and encouraged to sign up for a vaccination appointment at sccFreeVax.org.
New appointments are added on a daily basis based on available supply, and the County Health System is now scheduling first dose appointments up to one week in advance.
The County will continue extensive outreach efforts to ensure that communities most impacted by COVID-19 have readily available access to vaccine appointments and information. This includes:
- Door-to-door efforts to register families in hard hit neighborhoods for vaccine appointments
- On-site vaccinations for homeless community members and homebound individuals
- Increased evening and weekend availability for appointments and drop-in clinics
We urge everyone to continue wearing masks, maintaining their distance, and getting vaccinated now if they have not done so already. We look forward to reaching even more milestones for vaccination these upcoming weeks. Stay tuned with our numbers by checking out our vaccination dashboard.
Together in health,
County of Santa Clara
