Happy September friends, so many things to love about this magical month. My personal favorite is that it is the season of the Sapphire.. This is one of my all time favorite gemstones, these beauties come in all shapes and sizes and are believed to bring wisdom, good fortune and luck. And we all need a little of that right now.
If I had to pick a favorite it would be Ceylon Sapphires; known for their royal blue hue, these beauties hail from Sri Lanka and I love working with them. They are rich and elegant with a historical significance that pairs beautifully with my work.
I also LOVE working with Pink Sapphires, the color is so vibrant and happy. They do vary in shades but I am partial to the saturation in color of the brighter stones. Pink Sapphires tend to come from Madagascar.
Orange Sapphires are also predominantly mined in Madagascar, they are bright and so much fun to work with. The color pairs so well with gold and I have been using them much more frequently in my work.
My absolute favorite thing about sapphires is that they come in every color of the rainbow and I love working with all of them. They are a beautiful feel good gemstone and at least one gorgeous sapphire piece is a must in every collection.

We can't finish off summer without one more Summer favorite recipe. All of us at the studio are BIG fans of fish tacos and we all agree that our studio manager Brittany's husband found our favorite new recipe. These grilled fish tacos with pineapple cabbage slaw are the perfect labor day weekend bite. All credit due to the Minimalist Baker crew, click here for the recipe.
I have been playing with lots of fun new beads for the fall and have some fabulous new bracelets. Banded Agate, Tigers Eye and Dendritic Quartz are all perfect new wrist friends for the new season.
I put together a September Sounds playlist on Spotify of all the music that is on high rotation in the studio and my life right now. Press play and enjoy.
