The purpose of this email is to inform everyone about the details of the “Special Election
” that is being held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Please click here to add the Special Election to your calendar
. The candidate who wins the Special Election will complete the remainder of former Senator Mike Waugh’s term, which ends on December 31, 2014.
The “Special Election” allows ALL registered voters from ALL political parties – Republican, Democrat and Independent to "WRITE-IN" Scott Wagner on March 18, 2014.
A "Special Election"
is similar to a General Election that is held in November, where voters of any party can vote for the candidate of their choice.
For voters of any party who want to participate in the “Special Election
” but are out of town or unable to get to the polls due to work, illness or physical disability on March 18, 2014, you may file an absentee ballot. To receive an absentee ballot application, please click here
, download the form, fill it out completely and mail it to: Elections / Voter Registration, 28 E. Market Street, York, PA 17401. After they have received your application, they will send you an absentee ballot which will need to be filled out completely and mailed back. Absentee ballots must be received by the county board of elections no later than 5:00 PM on March 14, 2014 to be counted.
