Keynote Sessions
Being in charge when you are not in charge - Persuasion tips and techniques 
Speaker: Richard Newman, Body Talk UK

As support staff we often feel like we re not in a position to influence decisions in our organisation. But as we move up the career path influencing and persuading often more senior members of staff becomes an increasingly important skill. In this session Richard will give you practical advice on how to influence and persuade those around you.

How can you continue to move on up
Speaker: Helen Soualah, Chouchoute Corporate Chocolates

Helen started her career as a bi-lingual secretary/PA, holding several positions in blue chip companies, culminating in a seven-year role as Executive Assistant to the Group HR Director of Cadbury Schweppes plc in London. After completing a part-time MBA, Helen was selected for the Cadbury Schweppes accelerated management development programme, gaining two years brand management experience. Two years later, Helen opened Chouchoute. Through personal experience Helen will share her opinion on the the assistant role.

Project Management

Project management is a key skill that really does help assistants move on up. Many of us are asked to take part in projects. During this session Maria will give you the skills to lead projects and stand out in your organisation. 

Interview questions and answers

In our interactive Interview Q&A session Matt will be sharing his top 10 interview tips and will help you prepare for internal and external interviews, answer even the worst questions and offer solid advice on getting over interview stage fright.

How to stay in charge of your events 
Speaker: William Thomson, Gallus Events 

In this session William will demonstrate the use of several tried and tested event management tools and techniques all designed to give you, the event organising assistant,  more control of your events.
