WE ARE COMING HOME - AT LEAST FOR A LITTLE WHILE
For Allison and Will it definitely feels like coming home, but for our kids it is a little bit more confusing.  Sarah has never attended an American school.  All the kids except for David have had more years in Peruvian schools than they had in their much beloved Scofield Christian School.  And yet we are all excited about these upcoming months in the US!  The kids are excited to see their cousins and grandparents.  They are excited to experience a taste of America and see what Mom and Dad are so excited about.  Allison and Will are glad for a time of rest in a culture that is familiar, with easy access to comfort food and modern conveniences. Will is especially glad to speak English all the time.  And we are all excited to spend time with as many of you as possible.
WE WANT TO SEE YOU
We will be traveling through Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, and even Louisiana and Mississippi.  Let's connect if we can!  Let us know and we will make an effort to see you.
You may be wondering why we have disappeared.  We have not sent out a newsletter in a long time. However, we are pretty consistent with putting new content on our blog. Over the past several months the Internet has become more difficult for us, but we still try to put news about our work and lives on the blog regularly.  Click the link above to see our blog and review our posts to see what life is like in Curahuasi, Peru.
WE ARE THANKFUL TO GOD
These two years have been a great challenge.  We have been faced with our personal failings, and we have seen how God has worked through them and made us able even though we are weak, broken, people.  We have watched our kids suffer a sense of isolation that they would never have felt back home, yet even as I type this I can hear my kids laughing with a house full of Peruvian friends.  God has been faithful, and he has made us able to do the work that he has put us here to do.  We are weak, but He is very strong!  Life here is tough. Poverty is sad. Teaching in the school is challenging. Working in the hospital is demanding. God has carried us through as we have depended on him!
WE ARE THANKFUL FOR  YOU
We would not be here without your friendship, prayers, and support!  You cannot imagine how often we remember you and think of you.  We will say it again and again. Thank you so much!

Allison is a great teacher, ready to hop on the float when one of her students needs a partner in the school competition.  No bathing suit, no problem.
The family saying goodbye to our summer interns.  We have been privileged to have Abilene Christian University students as part of the World Wide Witness program live with us the past two summers.

Our sending organization is the Christian Health Service Corps. The directors are Greg and Candi Seager whom also run a retreat center near Grand Saline, TX. We really appreciate their idea of a mission agency that makes it easy for medical people to go serve.  So do lots of other people—CHSC has grown by leaps and bounds over the past couple of years.  Please pray for this organization as it grows and develops.  If you are ever in Grand Saline, you can pass by and meet these wonderful people.  Or, if you ever need to send a check for us or to communicate with our agency, the address is:

The hospital missionaries receive their mail in a nearby town called Abancay.  We had to get a power of attorney notarized in order for the staff to pick up mail in our name.  If you have any mail to send us, please put one of the adult’s names on the package, not the kids’ names or “Caire Family” or “Caire Kids.”  Things can be complicated here!
