A message from our director

It was a wonderful 2018 for FPCA, but we couldn't have done it without you. As we enter into the the new year, we once again, extend warm wishes to you and yours.

Unfortunately, in 2019 hundreds of Mobile's children and their parents will miss out on the safety and security that a home provides. Living in abandoned structures or in a car affects our neighbors profoundly. Their health, education, and safety are all at risk.

But you can help.

When you donate today, your gift provides a family with the basics of life, like the home in this photo, part of our affordable housing program. Together, let’s end homelessness in 2019 one family at a time.

Affordable Housing Program Grows.

Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson's administration, in partnership with the MLK Redevelopment Corporation, took steps to revitalize one of the city's most depressed communities. Where a drug den once stood, now stands a brand new, energy-efficient single family, three-bedroom home. FPCA was tapped to place a family there with low-to-moderate income and offer them support toward housing independence. Dad Eric states he couldn't be happier to have a job and a safe, affordable and beautiful home for his deserving family.

Welcome Our New Board Chair.

Mona Williams (right), long-serving board member, is our new Board Chair. Mona believes in the mission of Family Promise. She says, "individuals experiencing homelessness are all around us. We just don't notice them." We are honored to have her serving with us.

We Are Inspired By Our Donors and Partners.

Without the generosity of these people and others like them, such as TJX Corporation and The Glaze Foundation, we couldn't do any of what we do. They are agents of change in our community.
