JOYALike Jump for Joy! Featuring Joya on Facebook

JOYA ...

From/Lives: I’ve been raised within Coast Salish Territories, on Vancouver’s North Shore and nearby Sunshine Coast.
Work: Correspondingly I work connecting these communities, celebrating our diversity and commonalities as a social entrepreneur.

Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
I’m inspired to leap for empowering philanthropic initiatives, such as yours!

Q. Jumping photo experience?
Just dropping everything to jump felt rejuvenating. Thanks for modeling such momentum, as well as sharing in all the fun!

Q: Inspiration in life?
Enthusiasm that children resonate inspires me to make courageous contributions no matter the scope of my ambitions.

Q: Greatest passion?
As the saying by Audrey Hepburn “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow“ exemplifies; I also do so with kids in my personal time, while backing up an interrelated passion for sustainable growth as a Capacity Building Fund Developer.

Q: Driving force?
Whenever I see a child I wonder about the world we leave behind for them. I am driven to explore this ethos by contributing both locally and internationally with coalitions focused on social justice solutions.

Q: Philosophy?
Following the belief that, “The most common way people give up their power is thinking they don't have any” as stated by Alice Walker. I am a proactive ambassador for strategic social responsibility campaigns with a background in business administration management.

Q: Anything in the world?
A: I would travel the world as an agent of change, empowering voices through innovative discussions that solve gender discrimination and correlating crises. Building towards these aspirations I have already partnered on related resiliency projects while living in India and enterprise locally as a Community Engagement Manager.

Q. Working on?
For over 10 years, I've campaigned on behalf of
Beauty Night Society. The motto ‘Dignity Is Beautiful’ invigorates every Beauty Night wherein volunteers from all backgrounds empower women living in marginalized circumstances. FIND OUT MORE  & JOIN US @beautynightsociety  @BeautyNight
