......
Hello!
Its been a while, hope you are doing wonderfully :)
After all the excitement and amazing beauty I experienced creating the mural, I was pretty exhausted and had to take a bit of time to recuperate. I've had some time to reflect on how I want to move forward with the Jump for Joy Photo Project in the future.
I love this work so much and love all the incredible people and amazing energy that is created and shared. However, its been difficult to keep the project running without a budget, and little to no income for the past few years. So for this project has been an incredible experience that has continually helped me push through fears and to keep an open heart. Im not finished yet, and still plan to create the book I started out to make - even if it ends up taking me 10 years. In the meantime, I'm looking into alternative ways / projects to keep the joy flowing. I hope to find new ways to fund the project so I can keep on sharing the joy.
I have a strong desire to collaborate on some other exciting and meaningful projects while I sort it all out. This means I wont have as much time to dedicate to jump for joy shoots and posts in the upcoming months. I will keep you posted as everything progresses.
An now, some updates:
On Nov. 1st at 11am I will be doing an Artist Talk at the Wall of Joy as part of the Heart of the City Festival. We will be meeting on the SE corner of Abbott and Pender then head over to take a look at the wall together. I will be there for about an hour to answer questions and chat.
I'm also getting really excited to be one of the presenters at Interesting Vancouver on November 6th :) It will be my second attempt at public speaking and would LOVE to have you there, cheering us on.
This is a fun little promo video for the event. I think it captures my personality pretty well. Hope to see you there!

Lastly... as the fall sets in in Vancouver, the building the Wall of Joy is on seems to have some major water leaks down the wall that are lifting the posters in 3 spots, in a line from top to bottom. I've put the request in, and am waiting for the paperwork... and money to make the repairs asap.
As always, Im booking creative photo shoots and open to interesting collaborative projects: eyoalha@gmail.com www.eyoalha.com
It is such a pleasure hearing from you! Please, stop by and post your own jumping photo on facebook, say hello on twitter, or check me out on Instagram :)
Have a great week, with lots of fun and filled with joy!
Much love, Eyoälha
