KELLY WONG ... From:
Born in Hong Kong but grew up in Vancouver, Canada for most of my life Lives: moved to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam about 8 years ago for work and have been here ever since.
Q: What inspires you
to want to jump for joy?
A: My friend Eyoalha inspired me to do this. It just seemed to be such a simple concept, you wonder why everyone wasn’t doing it already.
Q.What was your experience
like doing the jumping photos?
A: It was a very fun experience, and it felt great. I think about it as a moment of setting myself free from whatever I think I was chained to and really just enjoying the moment.
Q: What inspires you
A: A big part of my inspiration comes from my family. It’s funny but you don’t realize how big an impact they’ve had until you have children of your own. It’s a moment of great self-awareness and you realize that it’s really because you finally care to admit you’re more like your parents than you would have cared to believe.
Q: What is your greatest passion
A: I probably have too many, but if you differentiate between interests and passions, I probably have too many interests and too few passions. One thing I am very passionate about is learning, growing and becoming better. I think we start life like a clean slate and can really do anything on it to define ourselves, but life gets messy and we start to limit ourselves too much. My life’s passion is to get back to that clean slate and endless possibility mindset which we all started with.
Q: What is your driving force
A: I think and believe life is hard. I’m not complaining but I do see hardship around. What drives me is that by becoming the best versions of yourselves, you can succeed. I am inspired and driven by people that can do that. It makes me believe anyone can do it.
Q: What is your philosophy
A: That’s simple, “give first and then give back”.
Q: If you could do anything in the world
, what would it be?
A: Eyoalha was always great with these simple but mind blowing questions. I would like to help people build a business, achieve a goal or succeed. In a way I like to think I am an enabler, because I believe if you enable someone to achieve, that karma comes back around to help you. In a way I’m doing it everyday, but once my karma count gets to scale, I’m hoping I can do that full time and help people achieve their goals full time. Particularly in building a business.
Q: What work/art/projects are you working on?
A: I have a zillion photos unfinished and unpublished. I’ll get to it I promise.
Mini bio, interesting facts about you or something special you want to share.
A: I am a wandering nomad who has taken roots in a place I never even heard of until I arrived. Have been making the best of situations since and seemed to have found my groove doing it. Hopefully will be able to scale it and make it larger than my own life as a legacy.
