Quote of the week:

“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident, and more and more successful.” - Mark Victor Hansen

*** This past week I have been amazed at the incredible support from friends and strangers who have voted for my video entry to My Destination's Biggest Baddest Bucket List. In just 10 days, I have over 1500 votes (and over 6500 youtube views!).

With your help, I hope to secure another 2500 votes in the remaining 35 days and be selected as one of the top ten finalists!

HOW TO VOTE: On my entry page scroll down to the green box, then vote by SHAREing on facebook, twitter, stumble, Pinterest and G+ :) You can also help by spreading the word :) Every SHARE=VOTE

Then, if you like, take moment to watch my
little mini tour of Vancouver, and enjoy some of the amazing people who jumped for joy with me all around Vancouver :)

Your vote will get me one step closer to making my dream come true!

Winning the contest would supply me with 6 months of all expenses paid travel around the world - imagine the jumping photos I could share with you!

Then I would receive $50,000 at the end of the trip! - just what I will need for editing and publishing my book of 1000 people jumping for joy around the world and producing several art shows with a selection of my best images.

Please SHARE=VOTE for me and I will keep spreading the joy with you from around the world :)

Featured Jumper of the week: MAKENZIE CHILTON!  Like Jump for Joy! Featuring Makenzie Chilton on Facebook
MAKENZIE CHILTON  ... From: Born in Calgary, raised in the valley. Lives: in and loves Vancouver for 12 yrs. Work: Coach, consultant, solution focused life architect, call it what you want... I just want to help people be happy and discover/grab what they want out of life!

Q: What inspires you to want to jump for joy?
A: I get giddy like a five year old about a few things in life. The giddy list: when I get to share a beer with my brother, Turtles (the animals not the chocolate) my friends and family, my dog Bruce, Bruce Springsteen (yes that is who my pup is named after), Die Hard movies (anything with Bruce Willis really) elephants, and live music. Literally, I am a giggling child when I'm around these things.

Q.What was your experience like doing the jumping photos?
A: Tiring! I had first photo shoot jitters so was a bit nervous being in front of the camera. Eyoalha made everything so comfortable I wanted to keep going. It was so fun, counter-intuitively jumping gave me more energy. I think we jumped for about 2hrs, and I was so sore the next day.

Q: What inspires you in life?
A: I really like meeting and talking to people that have a different way of thinking about the world. I don't necessarily mean cultural differences (although I find different cultures fascinating). I literally mean how different people think: some are so logical and pragmatic, I have a friend who sees current society as a drop in time, and others who have emotion based logic and thinking processes.

All three of these people I used as examples perceive the world very differently and base their decisions accordingly, and I find the process phenomenal. I like to surround myself with as many different ways of thinking as I can because it really opens up the world to you. People who create things are so inspiring to me, so much talking is done it seems, I like when people produce.

Q: What is your driving force in life?
A: See the previous giddy list. I really think it is important to feel connected to people and see the world as one big community.

Q: What is your philosophy in life?
A: To be AWARE of kindness, act consciously from kindness but more importantly be aware of it. Even in the darkest situations there are always helpers and there are always kindnesses to be noticed.

Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
A: I want to contribute positively to society, who doesn't right?! I want to help people find what they are passionate about and create contribution. I think people get caught up in assumptions about what life has to be, the major assumptions being money, careers, relationships. I like smashing these assumptions to get people to where they really want to be in life.

Q: What work/art/projects are you working on?
A: This is a work in progress: Butterfly & The Hurricane - a photo blog of kindnesses seen, received and done. My vision is that people will submit their photos to me (so do it!) with a story of the kindness behind it to create the kindest piece of collaborate art on the Internet.

This link is still under construction but check out my progress: If you would like to submit your photos and stories, send them here:
