Jump for Joy! Photo Project

Welcome to the very first Jump for Joy! Photo Project weekly Newsletter!

A weekly update on the most exciting news, events, quotes, jumper bios and of course jumping photos from Jump for Joy! Photo Project - Showcasing the beauty of the human spirit - in mid air - around the world.

For those of you not familiar with the project yet...

My vision is to create an art photo book of 1,000 photos of people jumping for joy around the world and a photography exhibit that showcases a select few of the best JUMPING images. The compilation of joy expressed by a variety of people from around the world is intended to create a unified community of joy, to express the importance of joy in the lives of all people and to remind us that humanity can come together as one through the expression of joy.

This past month has been all about creation in the back end of things. Thanks to a sprained ankle (and I mean that whole heatedly), I have had the opportunity to put my foot up and focus my full attention on the planning and building aspect of the project. It has been a productive month...

the web page/blog is now up and running - and I am very proud to share that is has already been nominated for 3 blogger awards (Sunshine Award, Very Inspiring Blogger Award and 7 X 7 Award), I now have new business cards, that I LOVE! and can't wait to start handing out, grant proposals written and sent, contacts made, and getting the word out...

and... now that my ankle is finally healing a bit, I did my first official jumping shoot in Los Angeles, with Christopher Michael King, which was really a lot of fun and the photos were amazing!

Featured Jumper of the week:

Christopher Michael King...
Born and raised in Santa Monica, CA. USA
"I am most joyful for the point in my life that occurred in 2009 that I now simply refer to as "the shift." It was a turning point; the moment when I finally awoke to discover who and what I really am and understood the delta between that and what I was presenting myself to be. I am joyful when I am connected to other sentient beings of light and energy and when I am able to give and share myself completely and without hesitation and when any or every part of my being can be of service to others.
I am proud to support the US Special Olympics (, the Wounded Warrior Project as a Tough Mudder participant ( and organizations that assist animals in need."

I am excited to do more jumping shoots in Los Angeles, please email me at: to set up a shoot with me, and if you are interested in shoots in other cities...   or have feedback and suggestions about the project I would love to hear from you.
