A busy week full of fun jumps and lots of laughs.

*** I have ended up being in Vancouver longer than i had anticipated and am so greatful for the enthusiasm and feed back on my project. I couldn't have picked a better time of year to be here. This summer has been incredible and I have been loving all the new people I have met for the jumping photos.. I love hte energy, fun and creativity that is being shared. I have been waking up everyday with so much excitement and passion for doing the shoots thanks to everyone who has been involved so far.. I just cant wait to see what we come up with next :)

Featured Jumper of the week: Alice Chen!

Alice Chen ... From: Originally from Taipei, I have called Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary home. Live: Now based in Vancouver Work: I am the CEO of an export agency currently specialized in the export of Canadian wine and spirits to China and find myself spending a portion of my time there.

Q: What inspires you to want to jump for joy?
A: Eyoalha.

Q.What was your experience like doing the jumping photos?
A: It was a fun, light-hearted, expressive experience. We did it in a record-breaking 22 minutes!  I felt playful above all things.

Q: What inspires you in life?
A: I am always on the look out for interesting people, places and experiences. I am curious about different perspectives and questions that don't have answers (e.g., Are our lives pre-determined?)  I am inspired by the inevitable human struggles juxtaposed against the strive for human ideals. I am also inspired by passionate people with passionate pursuits (like Eyoalha)!

Q: What is/are your greatest passion(s) in life?
A: Currently my time and attention is divided largely into three categories: business, personal growth and health.  The latter two are interest-driven pursuits that support the first. Business is my chosen art form, a way to express my individuality - I love its multi-faceted complexity. It is a well that draws from everything I have learned and experienced to date. It is also an ever-challenging platform on which for me to measure and reflect my personal growth

Q: What is your driving force in life?
A: I am driven by the desire to manifest my ideals and help empower others to do so. I am very devoted to the creation of a business empire from zero; it is the game that I am playing.

Q: What is your philosophy in life?
A: I am always willing to fail against what is possible

Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
A: I am devoted to the creation of a business empire from zero.  I am playing this game every day.

Q: What work/art/projects are you working on?
A: Currently my company is helping Canadian wineries promote and export their wine and agri-tourism opportunities

Q: Mini bio, interesting facts about you or something special you want to share.
A: I have largely lived my life reflecting the spirit of the quote: ... "People with interesting lives have no frills. They trade their cities. They invest in projects with risks. They are interested in people that are the opposite of them. They resign without another job in sight and accept invitations to do what they have never done before. They are willing to change their favorite colour and dish. They start from scratch many times ... They are not frightened by the time that passess them by. They go up on a stage, they change their hair style, do crazy things for love and buy one-way tickets." - Clauss Ferrancini

*** I also love that quote and can relate quite well to it, thanks Alice :) The shoot with Alice took place on the roof top of her building in down town Vancouver, BC Canada.

Stop by the JOY! page and post your answer in 10 words or less..

My favorite answer from the
Joy! page this week is from a fellow blogger called
John J. Rigo, Texas' Poet who shared:
"Making a connection with one that I believe is an eternal friend from many life times." No doubt.. when we meet people who we feel a strong and deep connection with it is certainly cause to jump for joy :) I am lucky enough to know these kinds of friendships and i am greatful for them everyday.

I am still in Vancouver.. and am excited to do some more jumping shoots so please email me at: to set one up with me, or have feedback and suggestions about the project.. I would love to hear from you.
