Jump for Joy! Photo Project
Showcasing the beauty of the human spirit - in mid air - around the world

Quote of the week:

“Appreciate how rare and full of potential your situation is in this world, then take joy in it, and use it to your best advantage.” -  Dalai Lama

Latest Updates:

*** My second week in Vancouver has been just as wonderful as the first. Gorgeous weather, wonderful people and lots of jumping joy! I had the pleasure of doing some more incredibly creative and fun jump for joy shoots with Thais Sewell aka my mom! who brought streamers and bubbles, Aliyah O'Brien who caused some chaos on the rainbow painted crosswalk and played on the beach, Jose Gavina who hopped river a giant rock and through a trail, Alice Chen who jumped atop the roof of her down town Vancouver building.

*** I am honoured to have my Jump for Joy! Photo Project blog be nominated AGAIN this week f
or the Very Inspiring Blogger Award by another fellow blogger, My Daily Creative. Very sweet :)

*** I still want to do more jumping shoots in Vancouver, it's so much fun.. Please email me at: to set up a shoot

Featured Jumpers of the week: Nava Plotsky (Cooper) and Benjamin Cooper!
Nava Plotsky (Cooper) and Benjamin Cooper ... From: Benny is from a small town in Nor Cal, I'm from a small town in Israel but was raised in West LA Live: We live together in Mar Vista with our dog, Joy and our cat, Chaplin Work: We mostly work together doing Real Estate Investment.

Q: What inspires you to want to jump for joy?
A: This time what inspired us is you! Your enthusiasm for this project is infectious. You make playing along easy and natural.

Q.What was your experience like doing the jumping photos?
A: We felt elated. It is true that just the very act of jumping causes joy to rise up. We laughed so hard.

Q: What inspires you in life?
A: We're both inspired by music, creativity, kindness, and living life as an adventure.

Q: What is/are your greatest passion(s) in life?
A: We both have so many passions but if you asked us individually, we would both say that our union is what we are most passionate about. Going through life together is a commitment that we both revel in.

Q: What is your driving force in life?
A: The driving force in both our lives is contribution to others. Nothing feels better than being able to make a difference with another person. Sometimes it's only a small difference; a smile or a phone call, sometimes we get to really participate in other people's lives. That's the ultimate privilege.

Q: What is your philosophy in life?
A: Nava's philosophy is, "It ain't all about me" Benny's philosophy is, "It ain't easy being cheesy" aka "don't take life so seriously"

Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
A: If Benny could do anything in the world it would be for him to have been an original member of N.W.A. If Nava could do anything she would be a back up singer for Aretha Franklin. We are currently working on a time machine and a reincarnation instant breakfast to hurl us back in time and make us bad ass and black.

Q: What work/art/projects are you working on?
A: The 2020 are husband and wife team Benjamin Cooper and Nava Plotsky. This songwriting/production team based out of Los Angeles, has spent the last decade forging a unique, provocative sound and fostering a creative, comfortable work environment in which their artists can flourish. Working with diverse talent, from Rapper DMC (of Run-DMC) to upcoming pop starlet K*doll, The 2020's songwriting style ranges from electronic to rock, dubstep to pop. While The 2020 are
incredibly versatile and interested in different genre's of music their focus and intention is always on creating interesting melodic songs that are rich with texture and nuance.

Q. Interesting facts about you or something special you want to share.
A: We are awesome and so are you!

The photos of Nava and Benny were taken on the street corner and in the back ally behind their house in Venice, CA USA. The black and white garbage bins conveniently complimented their wedding attire ;) p.s. This was not their wedding day, they were married a couple of years ago and wanted to re-wear and re-live the joy of the wedding day..
