Welcome to issue 56, the April 2017 edition of mulberry mail.
March saw the launch of the new 12 sided £1 coin as it enters circulation to replace the round £1 coin, which has been in circulation since 1983.
This means that from Sunday 15 October your old pound coins will cease to be legal tender, giving you just over six months to spend, bank or donate them.
Join the #PoundForPound revolution and donate an old £1 coin to The Mulberry Centre for every new £1 coin you receive.
If you'd like to donate your old coins to help us continue supporting people affected by cancer, here's how you can help:
- Check your purse, wallet, piggy bank or coin jar for your £1 coins
- Donate at The Mulberry Centre
- Cash your coins in at a bank then donate the amount on our website. Make an online donation here
Or why not donate your first new £1 coin in the same way?
Please quote PoundForPound when making your donation to help us keep track of where the money has come from.
On behalf of our service users, our staff and volunteers - thank you for supporting The Mulberry Centre!
