Foundation News

Washington County Board of Education Board Member Pieter Bickford will serve as the official liaison to the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts Foundation Board.  Mr. Bickford served on the Barbara Ingram Foundation board from February 2008 until January 2013. During his term on the Board, Pieter co-chaired the “Take Flight” Civic Arts Project, which commissioned artists to design specially-painted butterflies and hot air balloons that are still on display in downtown Hagerstown and throughout Washington County.  He also served as board secretary and president of the school’s Parent Guild. Pieter’s daughter, Amelia, graduated from Barbara Ingram’s Musical Theatre program in 2016.  The Foundation is thrilled to Have Pieter back on the Foundation Board.

Our Alumni are doing GREAT THINGS.....

William Mason, a 2012 Alumni of BISFA, started a band called The Patchwork Fools.  The band asks people to draw or write something unique about themselves on bits of fabric.  The band sews the pieces into patchwork quilts and displays them at their performances to show that creativity can bring people together.  The band will be making their very first digital quilt to celebrate their site launch in February.  To learn more about William and the work his band is doing, please click the following links:
