This is the 98th of weekly progress updates on the development of Simply Testable, your professional automated web frontend testing service providing one-click testing for your entire site.
This week has been focused on increasing use of the service and building in some new team features.
I've completed the changes to our backend systems to support teams.
You can now, in theory, create or join a team and share a single account between people in an organisation. In practice you'd find this tricky as there is no interface to these new features.
I started working on adding an interface to these new features so that they can be used and ran into a bit of a UI mess that I first need to address.
Account Page Changes
I started considering how to add the new team features to your account page.
The current account page grew organically as new features were added. With a small number of features, this just about worked.
Adding team features to the already slightly-disorganised account page wasn't really an option.
I'm re-designing the account page to better structure the information currently within and to more easily support the addition of new distinct sections.
Perhaps done in time for next week's newsletter, perhaps not ...
Over the next week I'll continue to focus on adding the team features as well as examining further ways to promote the service.
As always, if you'd like to see web testing you find boring handled automatically for you, add a suggestion or vote up those that interest you. This really helps.
