This is the 92nd of weekly progress updates on the development of Simply Testable, your professional automated web frontend testing service providing one-click testing for your entire site.
Mobile-Ready Test Results
In last week's newsletter I mentioned that the test results page was being updated to work on all screen sizes. These changes were released live on Monday.
Further test results improvements:
- More compact header: same information as before, lesss bulky
- More clear result/action grouping: results are more clearly separated from the actions you can subsequently take
- Dynamic per-outcome tabs: outcome-dependent tabs to display filtered lists of results (such as 'with errors' and 'without errors') are presented only when there are relevant results to list
Mobile-Ready Test Progress Underway
With the mobile-ready test results page complete, work has started on the mobile-ready test progress page.
The test progress page is one of the most complex parts of the service and as such I'm not sure when the changes will be ready. I'd like to have the changes ready in time for week's news newsletter but at present there is too much outstanding work to give any realistic guess.
I'll continue to update the Simply Testable services to be more friendly to vastly differing screen sizes and will continue to help make it more clear when account-only features are an option.
As always, if you'd like to see web testing you find boring handled automatically for you, add a suggestion or vote up those that interest you. This really helps.
