Who Really Saves?

Thank you brother Dan for the great teaching on the book of James this past Sunday!

This coming Sunday, Pastor Tim will explore the role of salvation as taught in the Bible. The question is, "who saves?" Is it God or is it people? If it is God, then why do we share the Gospel with others? Pastor Tim will walk The Well through a close look at what appears to be a conflict, but in reality, is no conflict at all.

Takin' It To Da Streets Ministry - Outreach Opportunity Thanksgiving Day 11 a.m to 2:00 p.m.

TI2DS Ministries will be providing Thanksgiving dinner for the homeless in Fort Worth on Thanksgiving day from 3pm to 7pm. If you are interested in serving or providing food, please contact Pastor Tim or Cindy. They are estimating 150 people will be fed. Rocky has all of the sides covered and now is in need of 13 additional turkeys. If you are interested or able to help provide the turkeys, please let us know!

We are also in need of winter hats, gloves, used sleeping bags and plastic tarps that will be distributed to the homeless before the cold season hits.

Please also continue to pray and support TI2DS Ministries.

A Well from The Well is Underway!
We have heard from The Water Project and they are excited to partner with us to provide fresh water in Sierra Leone. Click Here to view the project tracking link where we can see progress online, as they get reports from the field.

I contacted our Director of Development at The Water Project to find out how the Ebola outbreak affects this project.  Below is the email I received from her.

Hi Cindy,

Thank you for your email. We just met with the implementation partner last week, and they have told us that the projects are still happening. Due to the country's limit on public gatherings, they will be making some changes to how they are reaching out to provide community health and hygiene sanitation projects.

I'd be happy to have a phone call with you all later this week to share more details. We are in the midst of a week of planning for our 2015 program year, but we'll be back in the office on Friday.

In the mean time, may I share some information that you might consider sharing with the church?

Attached is a 21 day prayer campaign that people are joining to specifically address the issue of ebola as they petition the Lord. Each day has a brief focus that can help guide people.  Would you consider joining us as we also pray?

And lastly, in case you haven't seen this article, here is a link to a NY Times piece on the 'Burial Boys' of Sierra Leone who have been in the front line of the effects of ebola; the link is below. Of course, the scene on the ground is changing all the time as more resources are coming into the country, and the response teams are being bolstered.

What an impact clean water is having during this horrible outbreak of disease. Along with our regular funding, we plan to send additional funds that will help with the radio outreach, health posters, equipment/materials for the burial teams, and additional latrine work. We're so thankful for the NGO's that are responding.

Thanks for your care, and for reaching out -
Tess Crick
