Circles of Trust

Wednesday 18 September, 10am to 12.30pm

A circle of trust (based on Parker Palmer's bestseller, A Hidden Wholeness: The Journey toward the Undivided Life) is a place to explore one's inner life with others through readings, poems, symbols, story and conversation.

All welcome.

Cost: $20 (pay on the day).


 

Celtic Service

Thursday 19 September, 8pm

A Celtic style service will be held in the WellSpring chapel, incorporating some music, prayers and quiet reflection.

Cost: suggested $5 donation.


 

Drumming Day

Tuesday 19 November, 10am to 3pm
(Facilitator: Christina Green)


A repeat of the popular workshop held earlier this year.

We will begin with a short meditation and then learn drumming and chanting. We will use both frame drums (Native American style) and hand drums (djembe, etc). The chants are sourced from Jewish, Celtic and Native American spirituality.

Advent Quiet Day

Saturday 23 November, 10am to 3pm
(Facilitator: Michael Mosley)

Quiet Days provide space for reflection and attentiveness to God’s Spirit in company with others. They are spent mostly in silence. The program may include scripture, meditation, communion, silent prayer together and alone.

Advent Journey: Waiting with God

Tuesdays: 26 November; 3, 10 & 17 December, 7.30 to 9.30pm
(Facilitator: Merrill Kitchen)
 

This series will follow Matthew’s reflection on Jesus’ links with the story of Israel. Looking back at that story, we will consider the way in which ‘the Word is always waiting to be born.’

Cost: $35 per session

A new full-colour A5-sized book celebrating WellSpring's 20-year history was produced for our 20th anniversary in August.

Copies are still available at a cost of $10 each (+ $2 postage) = $12 per copy.

Australian Network for Spiritual Direction Inc. (ANSD) National Conference
Friday 13 to Sunday 15 September, Canberra


Lucy Abbott Tucker and Sue Dunbar are joint speakers. They will situate the ministry of spiritual direction within the context of the new cosmology and reflect on the implications for ourselves and our work as spiritual directors. There will be opportunities for discussion and personal reflection with several options for creative processing being offered on Saturday afternoon. This promises to be a challenging and thought-provoking conference.
