A Contemplative Circle

Wednesday 16 November: 10am to 12.30pm
(Facilitators: Chris Page and Marg Loftus)

A Contemplative Circle: Reflecting on our Inner Life (drawing on Parker Palmer’s bestseller, A Hidden Wholeness: The Journey toward the Undivided Life) is a place to explore one’s inner life with others through readings, poems, symbols, story and conversation.

Drawn from ancient and contemporary wisdom, it is a deeply spiritual approach to identifying our ‘inner landscape’.

Throughout the year our outer landscape, such as ocean, mountain, desert, forest and the seasons will be used as metaphors and images of our inner life.

All welcome.

Cost: $28 (full); $22.50 (members/concession)

WellSpring Opportunities for 2017

Hosting Events

This year, April Blackwell has offered the wonderful gift of hosting the Professional Development sessions. Many people have noted the difference this has made to our welcome and hospitality throughout the day – thank you April!

Believing in the value of this practice, we want to continue it in 2017, and expand it to cover all the workshops we offer, as well as the Professional Development sessions. It would be great to have a team of people who would enjoy doing this on a voluntary basis, both to cover April when she is away, and to care for those who attend other events.

The role involves checking that all is in readiness for the event, setting up and cleaning up on the day (with assistance), introducing the facilitator, and being available during the day for those attending. The host is welcome to participate in the event at no cost.

If this role interests you, please contact Ann at ann.lock@wellspringcentre.org.au or on (03) 9885 0277.

WellSpring Reception

We all know how good it feels to be greeted by a real, live person at WellSpring rather than a locked door!

At the moment we have some gaps in the Reception office roster which it would be great to fill for the remainder of this year, as well as into 2017. Most people do a half day a week or fortnight, but this could be less often, say monthly.

At the moment there are vacancies on some Thursday mornings, and Friday afternoons, and to cover absences.

The main activities, after welcoming people, are to respond to enquiries, take bookings and payments, and other various office jobs as required.

We would love to hear from you if this is something you would like to be part of. Contact Ann at ann.lock@wellspringcentre.org.au or on (03) 9885 0277.
