) is a place to explore one’s inner life with others through readings, poems, symbols, story and conversation.
All are welcome to join A Contemplative Circle.
Payment ($25 per session for non-members or $22.50 for members) can be made by clicking here
or on the day.
Jenni Cronshaw writes:
I have been attending the Contemplative Circle for several years. I am a Mum of three teenagers and work in pastoral care. The monthly gatherings provide a welcoming and nurturing space for me in the midst of a busy life. We have explored different types of meditation at the opening and closing of our time together and this helps me to quieten my spirit and engage with the theme for the morning. The rhythm of the session is then to read a poem or short reflection together and spend 40-50 minutes alone in a quiet space within the WellSpring building and garden to reflect on the writing and to allow it to speak to us. I often use the available art materials to help me reflect.
We then gather back together and are invited to share our thoughts into the centre of the circle. I love that my musings are held by the group in respectful silence and I am able also to receive the gift from others as they share. This process is repeated again with another poem or reading.
Through my time with the Contemplative Circle I have learnt to listen to the wisdom of my heart, a wisdom that is able to ‘bubble up’ because I am allowing the space and becoming more trusting that God can speak to me in this way.
The Contemplative Circle is a treasured sacred practice in my life.
Thank you, Chris and Marg, for your gentle and inspiring leadership of this inclusive group!
Know Yourself, Understand Others Retreat
23-25 October 2015 in Glenburn
Using the wisdom of the Enneagram, an incisive psycho/spiritual system, Margaret Loftus shows how the nine personality styles of this ‘map’ explain our unconscious motivations and how they impact the way we live our lives.
We all have great gifts to contribute, as well as behaviours that don’t serve us well and keep us trapped. The Enneagram can enhance our gifts and uncover the way out of those self-imposed traps. It also enhances our understanding of what drives other people and what it means just to be human.

Introduction to the Journey of Illumination
A small group for men

7.30 to 9.30pm in the Resource Room
A $5 donation for each session is suggested.
Facilitated by Andy Stevens
, who facilitates men’s spirituality groups, helping men to navigate toward transformation and wholeness.
This group will explore spirituality from a different perspective. It is not a typical 'cell' group for men where scripture is studied and solutions to life’s challenges are discussed. This is primarily a place where the soul not the mind takes centre stage.
