  • Dish closure: Due to forecasted increased winds and low humidity, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Stanford foothills on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. As a result, the Dish and the Matadero Trail will be closed.
  • Faculty Senate: At its first meeting of the academic year, the Faculty Senate will vote on the charge to the Senate’s Ad Hoc Committee on the Stanford University Press. The senate will also hear a presentation by the president and vice president of the Associated Students of Stanford University. The senate will convene at 3:15 on Thursday, Oct. 10, in Room 180 of Stanford Law School. The senate will adjourn for an executive session and then reconvene for a welcome reception and open house at the Office of the Academic Secretary.
