  • Classes canceled: The air quality at the Stanford campus is considered very unhealthy due to smoke from fires in Butte County. Out of an abundance of caution, classes will be canceled on Friday, November 16. University offices will remain open, but employees should consult with their supervisors to address their individual circumstances. All members of the community are encouraged to limit outdoor exposure and to avoid strenuous outdoor activity.
  • Cardinal at Work Cares: The third annual Cardinal at Work Cares Donation Drive has expanded to benefit those affected by the recent wildfires. The drive is partnering with two established organizations to provide wildfire victims in Paradise and throughout the state basic personal care and toiletry essentials. With two weeks left in the donation drive, continue donating travel-sized personal care items to aid those in need. All Cardinal at Work Cares donations must be placed in donation bins or ordered through the online wish list by Friday, Nov. 30. Learn more.
