Further updates regarding COVID-19

Russell Furr, associate vice provost for Environmental Health & Safety, has provided further updates regarding COVID-19, focusing on travel, BOSP spring quarter programs, course work guidance, guidance for staff and preventing the spread of respiratory diseases.

Events canceled, postponed or livestreamed

Stanford schools, departments and organizations have moved quickly to postpone, cancel or livestream events in the wake of the university's ongoing response to coronavirus concerns.

  • Report of the President: Academic Council Professoriate appointments, promotions and reappointments were reviewed by the Advisory Board of the Academic Council on Nov. 19, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, 2019, and were approved by the president. Read more.
  • External Review: An external review committee will be on the Stanford campus March 10-12 to review the university’s support, prevention, response and investigation of sexual harassment and sexual violence services. The reviewers have been asked to provide recommendations for improving the experiences of community members who have experienced or been accused of sexual violence or harassment. The campus community can participate in the process with the review committee as follows: Student Open Forum on March 10 at 4 p.m. and Faculty/Staff Open Forum on Wednesday, March 11, at 4 p.m. Both meetings will be held in Kingscote Gardens, Room 140. In addition, there is a community feedback form, where Stanford community members can respond anonymously. Read more.
