Senate hears undergraduate education report 

On Thursday, the Faculty Senate heard Harry J. Elam Jr.'s last report as vice provost of undergraduate education and presentations on faculty gains and losses, budget planning for Fiscal 2021 and the COVID-19 pandemic.


Barbara Babcock has died

Barbara Babcock helped establish the Public Defender Service before becoming Stanford’s first woman law faculty member. She died April 15.

Looking for life on Mars

  • COVID-19 conversation: Join President Marc Tessier-Lavigne, Provost Persis Drell and School of Medicine Dean Lloyd Minor for a conversation with the Stanford community. They will discuss the work of Stanford Medicine in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, provide an update on the university’s planning and answer questions from the community. Learn more.
  • Open forum: An external review committee reviewing the university’s support, prevention, response and investigation of sexual harassment and sexual violence services will hold a Zoom-based feedback forum on Tuesday, April 28, for faculty, staff and postdocs from noon to 1:15 p.m. The purpose of the forum is to give community members an opportunity to provide feedback about these services. There is also a community feedback form where Stanford community members can provide input to reviewers anonymously.
