Scientists find way to observe single molecules in real time

The new technique allows scientists to observe single molecules of protein or DNA as they bind with other molecules, and could lead to better drug designs.

 

Program to help veterans prepare for four-year colleges

Stanford has created a summer program designed to boost the academic skills of veterans enrolled in community colleges who plan to transfer to four-year universities. The program was conceived by William Treseder, '11, who served in the Marines for 10 years.

Music festival marks first decade, looks ahead

The Pan-Asian Music Festival has been a musical odyssey for Jindong Cai, its founder and artistic director. Now 10 years in, the journey continues. With the 2014 festival a few days behind him, Cai is already thinking of 2015 and beyond.
