Power outage affects a third of campus buildings

About a third of campus buildings were without power beginning at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Power was restored by Land, Buildings & Real Estate (LBRE) staff members to all but eight buildings by about 7:30 p.m. as LBRE began the process of identifying and correcting the faulty circuit.

  • Faculty Senate: At its meeting today, Thursday, Oct. 25, the Faculty Senate will hear a report from student representatives from the Associated Students of Stanford University. The agenda also includes a panel discussion: Stanford as a Global University. The meeting will begin at 3:15 p.m. in Room 180 of the School of Law. Discussion is limited to members of the senate, but members of the Stanford community may request to attend the meeting by contacting Adrienne Emory, assistant academic secretary.
