4-H Life Lessons | January 17 - March 7, Participate in a virtual 8-week workshop series for high school students called Life Lessons. Each session in the series will cover topics and skills that are essential for the journey into adulthood! Cost is $30/participant, financial assistance available. Learn more and register here.
4-H Scholarships for Teens | Due January 25th, If you are a 4-H member in grades 10 - 12, you are eligible for 4-H scholarships! View scholarship website here to learn more about the $$ available!
Ignite 4-H | March 9 - 12th, Join National 4-H in D.C. for a 4-day experience where high-school aged teens connect, make memories and find their spark by exploring the best 4-H has to offer in STEM, Agriscience, Healthy Living, Career Readiness and Emotional Well-being. 4-H Showcase Animal Fever | Every year, Marion County 4-H hosts an Animal Fever contest where youth and adults paint a ceramic animal for a chance to win a ribbon! This year's animal is Roary the Lion. Please contact Linda Bauknecht if you would like to purchase your ceramic animal, $6/each.
4-H Volunteer Connections | January 14th, Meet other 4-H leaders and volunteers and discuss important topics in youth development at the Marion County Extension Office on the second Saturday of every month. Next event will take place January 14th from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Contact Ashley to RSVP.

Meet Rita Blythe, New Marion County 4-H Administrative Assistant
Please join us in welcoming Rita to the 4-H team! She will be assisting with 4-H enrollment, communications, and the background work that makes our program successful. Learn more about Rita below.

What do you love about 4-H? I love how 4-H inspires confidence through hands-on learning. I also love how much variety and flexibility there is in the 4-H experience - the possibilities are endless!
What do you love about Marion County? I grew up in Marion County, so it feels like home! I love all the unique neighborhoods and the friendliness of the people. There is so much to see and do.
How do you spend your time outside of work? I enjoy hanging out with my two cats, cooking foods from around the world, swing dancing, knitting, and other arts and crafts.
