ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!
  • All Kinder and 7th grade immunizations are required to start school.
  • Class lists will be emailed and posted on classroom doors August 5th at 4pm.  
  • Kindergarten will be released at 12:50pm every day the first week.
  • Lower School 8:30am - 3pm (Wed release at 12:50pm)
  • Upper School 8:15am - 3:15pm (Wed release at 1:05pm)

SCHOOL NEWS
New Breakfast/Lunch Program
We are excited to team up with Revolution Foods to prepare our fresh breakfasts, lunches and After School snacks. Revolution Foods aims to use the highest quality ingredients available and adhere to strict food standards. They feature foods that are free of artificial preservatives, colors, flavors or sweeteners and milk that is rBST-free. Lunches are now $4.50 and include a variety of hot and cold entrées with fresh fruit, vegetables, and milk on the menu daily. Lunch orders are due by July 29th for the first day of school. Place your lunch orders online.

Breakfast will continued to be offered for free to all students thanks to our generous grant from Nordic Naturals.

**Lunch orders must be placed by 12:00pm Monday the week BEFORE the lunch is served. 

Free and Reduced Priced Meals
Returning students may use last year’s (2018/2019) meal application for the first 30 days of school. If a new application is not completed prior to September 16, 2019 your student’s status will change to paid. 2019/2020 Applications will be available in your students first day packet or online.
 
Community Art Project
We are getting ready to launch our latest innovative community art project and we are asking for a 4x6 photograph of every BVA family for us to frame and add to a giant "Who We Are" collage at the Lower School. Please consider bringing your family photo to the orientation or Beautification Day so we can install them before school starts. 

EVENTS

New Family Orientation - July 27th 10am & 11:30am
This is for new students attending BVA for the first time starting in August (including families that have siblings already enrolled at BVA - but have a new student entering).  If your student has already been attending BVA, no need to come to this meeting.
New Family Orientation will take place at our Lower School located at 222 Casa Verde Way in the lunch room on Saturday, July 27th.

Kinder Orientation: 10am to 11am 
Please sign up your student for a 15 min. Kinder Interview!

1st-8th Grade Orientation: 11:30am to 12:30pm
Bring all outstanding enrollment paperwork and copies of your child's vaccines and birth certificate. If you are unsure if you have any outstanding paperwork, please email the Student Information Manager, Daisy Perez, at: daisy.perez@bayview-academy.org

Beautification Day - July 27th 10am - 3pm
Please join us for our annual Summer Beautification Day.  We encourage all families to attend and support your new community by getting some of your 30 volunteer hours done. Most projects are family friendly and include gardening, painting, sanding and building.  

AFTERSCHOOL/ CLUBS/ SPORTS
We are now accepting enrollment forms for the 2019-2020 Before/ After School Program. Enrollment forms and other information can be found on our After School website page. 

SHOUT OUTS
A big THANK YOU to our incredible custodians for working so hard this summer to improve our learning spaces!  Eddy and Manny, you get the BVA shout out!  Whoop- Whoop!

THE MORE YOU KNOW
Please mark your calendars for Back to School Nights! There will be two sessions each night, so you can attend multiple students classrooms.  Please meet in the Multi Use Room (lunchroom) at 5pm for a message from our Head of School, Karina Barger.  You will then be released to the classrooms where you will meet your teachers and get some important information to help the year go smoothly.  It's a great way to start the school year!
