Rollo Academy, the dance studio on the floor above us, will be having exams on the following dates:
Sunday, 13th December
During these days, we respectfully ask that all members refrain from making loud noises during the day, as this can interrupt the students' exams upstairs.
Are you interested in ethnography?
Andreas Reiter will be presenting his findings from his ethnographic fieldwork regarding the Nottingham Hackspace.
Focusing on how innovation might look like as something that people do, and how design augments that doing, he's choosing when we would go. Pick a time and join in!
Events Team needs you!
The new year approaches and your Hackspace Events team is expanding and will be putting on more workshops and event days in 2016! We need your help though. Drop us an email and let us know what you would be interested in learning about and hacking a go at.
Have you got an interesting hobby that you would like to share or even teach others about?
You can be a member of the space or it can be a friend who isn't yet. We welcome outside interest in building our creative, interesting and exciting community.
If you have an idea and want help fleshing it out, want to give a talk about your passion or hobby or even want to utilise our facilities to run a class then please get in touch with the events team on email@example.com.

Do you like to doodle? Make up stories? Read comics? Nottingham Hackspace Comics Making group is monthly session for comics chat and creation! You don't have to be great at drawing or writing to come along, just love comics!
Stitch and Bitch
Tuesday, 15 December, 6pm onwards
Do you knit? Crochet? Weave? Spin? Nålebinding? Embroidery? Kumihimo? Anything to do with stitching? Every third Tuesday, from approximately 6pm onwards, we’ll be in the comfy area getting our stitch on.
Did you know?
Did you know it costs around £5 an hour to run the Hackspace? That's paying the rent, the electricity bill, buying toilet paper, and all the other necessary expenses.
Think about it the next time you're in the space! (And turn the lights off, okay?)

Star Raiders: Oh crikey. Baddies in sector 4. Go and sort them out commander. The must have game for the Atari 800.
Another networked game. This time for the iMacs. Wander around shooting a bit.

Why not come and join us? If you have a classic machine, great, bring it. If not come anyway!
The Retro Computing group meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30PM and fire up old computers from a bygone era. Our aims are simply to fire up old machines and natter about them. Discuss new projects and fix as necessary.
