We're having a special Open Day on Friday, 25 March. A way to introduce people to the fun of the hackspace, this Open Day will include exhibits, projects, fun things to do, and tours of the space.

Bring your friends, bring your family, and enjoy the hackspace! It starts at 11am and goes on until 3pm. See you there!

Notice of Donation in Large Project Storage

During Hack the Space Day on 7 February, volunteers went through Large Project Storage to identify and mark any projects that had not been worked on for over three months.

Any project without a Do Not Hack sticker or with a date over three months ago were all issued with Notice of Donation stickers.

Projects currently labelled with Notice of Donation will be moved to the Donations Area on Sunday, 6 March.

You can see the full collection of projects in this gallery.

If you own any of these projects, please take appropriate action before Sunday, 6 March, whether that is continuing work on the project and adjusting the date or removing it from the space.

Please make certain that when you put a project into Large Project Storage, that you label it accordingly with a Do Not Hack sticker, add info to the storage sheet, and adjust the date when you do work on it.

Also, there was a large quantity of dried food on the shelves. Please do not store food on Large Project Storage.

Pick up soldering!

Learn how to solder in this quick and easy workshop on Sunday, 20 March.

Suitable for all ages (but ideal for ages 7 and up) and all skill levels, you'll learn how to solder a battery, magnet, and LEDs onto a circuit board to create your very own flashing robot badge!

Show up at any time between 10am and 1pm on 20 March, and everyone can make their very own badge for just £3 per person!

Show off your skillz with our Nerd Quiz!

Come to our Nerd Quiz! Starting at 8 on Friday, 11 March, and you and your teammates can win while also proving your nerd skills.

Teams can be up to 6 people, and it's £4 per person, or £5 per person if you want a bottle of beer. Beer and soft drinks will be available on the day too.

Skatenights at the Space

The fun starts at 6pm, and if you're not a member, you're welcome to get a tour of the space as well. Join up with Nottingham Longboarding to find out about future events!
