Princeton University Hindu Life Program

Dear Friends,
Although the past two weeks might have seemed very quiet -- especially since our beloved students had midterms and then went on Fall Break -- it has been the busiest time for the Hindu Life Program, as we work to put together our 10th annual DIWALI AT THE CHAPEL event. This celebration, the largest yearly celebration of Hindu culture and devotion at Princeton University, is our flagship event and not to be missed.

Since we began in 2008, the event has grown in both size and significance. I am incredibly proud of this achievement, and deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the community in this way. More information about this year's special event is below.

Yours in Seva,

beginning at 7pm

University Chapel,
Princeton University

Inaugurated in 2008, Diwali at the Chapel has since become the university’s largest and grandest celebration of Diwali on campus. Each year, more than 500 people–students, faculty, staff, and members of the broader community–gather in the historic Princeton University Chapel for this unique take on Hinduism’s Festival of Lights. The event features offerings of devotional music and dance, traditional worship (aarti), and spiritual reflections.

Each year, we have the honor of bringing together some of the most talented and dynamic presenters from on- and off-campus, for Diwali at the Chapel. This year, we are delighted to welcome back NAACHO, Princeton University’s premier South Asian dance company; Princeton Swara, the university’s classical singing and music ensemble; and a number of individual student presenters.

In addition,
we are particularly blessed to have with us—back by popular demand—one of our favorite devotional musical groups and our dear friends, The Mayapuris.

Open to All.  Admission is Free.
Donations and gratefully accepted.
