Breaking Barriers to Re-entry: Housing, Jobs & Services

In the District, an estimated 60,000 people have criminal records and about 8,000 of them return to the city each year after serving sentences in prison or jail — some to immediate homelessness.
Join CNHED and our distinguished panelists for a presentation on strategies  to support citizens returning from incarceration.

We'll start with an overview of re-entry in DC and how it affects DC residents and neighborhoods.
Learn from practitioners about
•    Developing and operating housing for returning citizens, including a review of funding and zoning issues
•    Job training & other services for returning citizens
•    Financial security for returning citizens
