The District's Tools for Homeless Families & Individuals: Housing, Jobs and Services

Football season isn’t the only thing kicking off this season.

CNHED is back with a new, timely Monthly Meeting on The District's Tools for Homeless Families & Individuals: Housing, Jobs and Services on Tuesday, September 29 from noon to 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon Place UMC (900 Massachusetts Ave. NW). Please note change from regular monthly meeting schedule.

The Mayor recently announced next steps to address homelessness in the District, which includes two new legislative proposals aimed at reinforcing the District’s response to homeless families and individuals in crisis.

Our panel of experts includes Kristy Greenwalt, Director of the DC Interagency Council on Homelessness, as well as representatives invited from the Department of Employment Services (DOES) and the Department of Human Services (DHS). You'll learn about: 
  • How programs will change in Fiscal Year 2016 to meet the goals identified in Homeward DC
  • Updates on housing interventions such as Targeted Affordable Housing and Rapid Rehousing more effective and reports on any improvements
  • Improvements to connect residents to housing, services and jobs
