The South Coast Primary & Community Partnership (PCP) team works across Bass Coast and South Gippsland. We can work with you to create a healthier school for students, staff and your community. Using a whole of school approach to health enables long-term changes to be supported in your school.

Each Term we will be sending out a newsletter with opportunities, practical ideas and resources to support your school to improve the health and wellbeing of your community.

Research shows that it’s vital for children to be active every day not just for their physical health, but for their mental and emotional wellbeing, too. Exercise can boost mood, concentration, alertness and has been shown to have a positive impact on classroom behaviour.

Meet the team

Janelle Smyth:  Health Promotion Officer /

Physical Activity and Movement Lead

Premier’s Active April is part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to promote healthy and active lifestyles and get Victorians to do 30 minutes of physical activity a day during April.

Our goal is for as many people as possible to build regular activity into their lifestyles beyond April. You can help by encouraging members of your school community to register. Remember, the more members, the higher your school’s chances of winning great prizes!
