Free Workshop for Museums Coming Up 

BISMARCK— The State Historical Society of North Dakota is offering a second free informational workshop at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck on August 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Museum staff, volunteers, and board members are welcome. The Museum Division’s registration, curatorial, and exhibit staff will discuss deaccession policies, federal permits, exhibit labels, mounts, and materials. Participants will write exhibit labels as well as receive hands-on experience making mounts while learning about archival materials.
